CLAREMORE, Okla. –
Matt Miles homered and
Joseph Ramirez drove in a pair of runs as Southeastern took an early lead and held on down the stretch for a 5-4 road victory over Rogers State on Wednesday afternoon in Claremore, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 16-4 on the season and extends the current SE winning streak to five-straight with a return home for Great American Conference play next up on the schedule with Northwestern Oklahoma State coming to Mike Metheny Field for a three game series March 12-13.

Ramirez and
Blake McQuain each collected a pair of hits, while
Seth Morrow, Reid rice,
Cameron French,
Matt Miles and
Luke Lockhert each added one.

Ramirez would also account for a pair of RBI, while Miles added one with a home run, with French and Lockhert each driving in one of their own.

Logan Teske got the start and picked up his third win of the year after striking out five and tossing three scoreless innings while allowing just one hit.

Coby Langford followed with three innings pitched and also allowed no runs on one hit while striking out three.

Jacob Davenport followed and logged one-third of an inning and was tagged for two runs, one of them earned, on one hit before handing the ball to
Kenneth Klier who struck out two to record two-thirds of an inning.

Jackson Sioson would come on to pick up his fifth save of the season, but not without a little drama, as he allowed two runs on three hits with two strikeouts over two innings of work.

SE wasted no time getting on the board, with French singling home Morrow to take a 1-0 lead.

It would increase a batter later when Ramirez would follow with a two-run single to push the lead to 3-0 in the first inning.
Â
Lockhert would tack on a run in the third inning with an RBI double to score Ramirez and push the lead to 4-0.
Â
Matt Miles would add a one-out solo homer in the top of the fifth to push the Storm lead to 5-0.

RSU would close the gap over the final three innings, putting up two runs in the seventh, and one each in the eighth and the ninth, but Sioson would finally coax a fly out to end the game and preserve the 5-4 win.
