DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern pitching struggled in the series opener versus Oklahoma Baptist as the Savage Storm dropped game one 13-1 in seven innings at Mike Metheny Field on Friday afternoon.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 22-10 overall on the year and 11-8 in Great American Conference play with the final two games of the series set for a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m.

The SE offense scattered four hits across four players, with
Reid Rice,
Damon Burroughs,
Luke Lockhert, and
Bryce McDermott each collecting a hit, with Rice doubling.

Dylan Herd recorded the team's lone RBI.

Dylan Turner got the start and tossed 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts while taking the loss.

Hayden Alexander followed with two innings of work and was tagged for eight runs on nine hits before
Coby Langford recorded two-thirds of an inning, striking out both batters he faced.

OBU homered to lead off the game and added a pair of two-run homers in the top of the third to take a 5-0 lead.

Herd would drive in Lockhert in the bottom of the third to cut into the deficit at 5-1.

However, the Bison would score eight runs over the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, and stretching the lead to 1301 which would be the final score.
