EDMOND, Okla. – For the first time in a month and a half Southeastern found itself on the losing end of a midweek contest, falling on the road to Central Oklahoma 17-7 on Tuesday night in Edmond, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 24-11 on the season heading into a three-game Great American Conference series with Southeastern Oklahoma State this weekend.

Matt Miles and
Angel Ochoa each collected a pair of hits, while
Seth Morrow,
Cameron French,
Damon Burroughs,
Luke Lockhert, and
Bryce McDermott each added a hit.

Morrow and McDermott each doubled, while Burroughs homered.
Â
Burroughs drove in a pair of runs, with Morrow, French, Ochoa, and Lockhert each adding one RBI.
Â
Jordan Compton got the start and tossed two innings in a no decision, striking out two without allowing a run and scattering two hits.

Dillon Bumgarner followed with an inning of work an was tagged for three runs on three hits.

Joseph Bishop tossed three innings and was saddled with the loss, allowing four runs on six hits.

Logan Teske followed, allowing two runs on a hit, while
Kenneth Klier tossed an inning and was tagged for three unearned runs on a hit while striking out two.

Colton Craddock,
Beau Swimmer, and
KC Bryan closed out the game, with Craddock recording two-thirds of an inning and allowing five runs on three hits.

A French RBI single in the top of the first inning put SE on the board, with
Reid Rice coming around and scoring on a wild pitch before Ochoa pushed the lead to 3-0 with an RBI single.

A Morrow RBI double in the second inning pushed that lead to 4-0.

UCO would answer with six runs in the fourth and added a seventh in the fifth inning.

A Lockhert single would plate Burroughs to close the gap to 7-5, but unfortunately that would not last long as the Bronchos put up five runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 12-5 lead.

SE would make a move again as Burroughs connected on a two-run homer in the top of the eighth, but again UCO would answer with five runs in the bottom half of the eighth to fashion the final score of 17-7.
