DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern swatted 15 hits led by the duo of
Peyton Streetman and
Cheyenne Mahy en route to its second-straight run-rule victory, this time taking a 13-1 decision over Southwestern Oklahoma State in five innings on Friday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 21-20 overall and 12-10 Great American Conference play with games two and three of the series slated for a Saturday doubleheader at 11 a.m.

Amberlyn Walsworth tossed a three-hit complete game, allowing one run over her five innings pitched, finishing the game with six strikeouts.

Streetman and Mahy each collected three hits to pace the offense, while
Kamarie Wallace and
Kady Fryrear each added a pair of hits.

Nine hitters would pick up hits for the Storm on the day.

Streetman and Fryrear each collected three RBI, while
Marilyn Alvarado added two, with Wallace,
Lauren White and
Bailey Beard each driving in one.
Â
SE batted the complete order in each of the first three innings to stake an insurmountable lead, beginning in the first inning when Alvarado connected on a two-run single to put SE on the board.

Two batters later Fryrear would single home Alvarado to take a 3-0 lead.

Walsworth would retire the side for a second-straight inning and SE would take advantage of a pair of singles when Streetman stole home on a double steal to push the lead to 4-0.

Wallace followed with an RBI double to score Mahy, followed two batters later by a White RBI single that also saw Wallace come home on a throwing error to stretch the leas to 7-0.

After a
Gracie Ore single and a Beard walk Streetman would drive in two more runs with a single up the middle to take a 9-0 lead.

Walsworth would again retire the side in order in the top of the third, and in the bottom half of the inning Fryrear would plate two more runs with a double, pushing the lead to 11-0.

Beard would tack on an RBI single and Streetman would drive in a run on a groundout to stretch the advantage to 13-0 after three innings.

That was all the offense the Storm would need as SWOSU would collect a run on three hits over the final two innings before the run-rule was triggered.
