DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern held a lead in every set and saw
D'Nari Mills lead all attackers in the match but was unable to pull off the upset of league-leading Harding on Friday afternoon, falling 3-0 in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 2-16 overall and 0-7 in league play.

Mills led all attackers with an 11-kill outing, while
Michera Moffett,
Jessica Hardin, and
Ruthie Forson added six kills apiece and
Avynn La Rose chipped in five.

Forson also led the way among Storm setters with 18 assists while
McKenzie Turkoly turned in five.
Â
Mills also led the defense to the tune of 20 digs while
Patience Lewis was next in line with 13.

At the net, La Rose turned in a pair of blocks to lead SE.

The opening set featured nine ties and a pair of lead changes as Southeastern held an early lead and then later rallied to knot the set at 17-17. However, HU would take eight of the final 10 points to pull away with a 25-19 set win.

Set two saw the Bisons jump out to an 11-5 lead early before the Storm would chip away, finally using a 7-0 run to erase the deficit and serve for set point with a 24-22 lead. Harding would answer with a 4-0 run to pick up the 26-24 set win and take a 2-0 lead.

SE jumped in front early in set three, going up 7-4 on a Moffett kill, but the Bisons would respond with a 15-5 run to take the lead and eventually pull away for the 25-17 win in set three to clinch the match.
