After Three TD Day, Gray Earns GAC Weekly Award

DURANT, Ark. – Following his game-winning heroics in a 22-21 victory over Arkansas-Monticello over the weekend, Southeastern's Marquis Gray was named Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Gray, a senior from Tyler, Texas, hauled in three touchdown receptions, the last of which came as time expired to hand the Savage Storm the 22-21 win over UAM.

He would finish the contest with a game-high 11 catches for 145 yards and three TDs.

The outing marks his third-career three-touchdown game, and his 145 yards lifts him past Braxton Kincade on the career receiving yards list, moving to third place with 2,487 yards and now trails Daniel Nichols who is in second place with 3,036 yards.

Gray and Southeastern will be back in action on Oct. 14 when it travels to Bethany, Okla., for a 2 p.m. contest against Southern Nazarene.
