Storm Pull Away in Second half in 94-55 Win Over DCC

DURANT, Okla. – Kody Clouet put up 25 points to lead a foursome of double-digit scorers for Southeastern as the Savage Storm would pull away in the second half for a 94-55 win over Dallas Christian on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The win evens the SE record at 3-3 on the season with the next action slated for Nov. 24-25 in the Walk On's Thanksgiving Classic in Odessa, Texas, where they will face Lubbock Christian and Texas-Permian Basin.

Clouet turned in his third-straight 20-point game of the season and fourth overall, finishing with 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting while hitting four threes.

Jett Sternberger was next in line with 18 while hitting 5-of-11 overall with four threes as well.

Kyle Leslie finished the afternoon with 11 on a trio of threes, while Robert Briley came off the bench to turn in 10.

The Storm offense hit 13 threes in the contest and went 17-of-20 at the free throw line.

Brennen Burns just missed double-figures with nine points, but led all players in the contest with six assists and matched the game high in rebounds with seven.

Leslie and Elijah Hughey each added three assists as the Storm piled up 19 as a team.

Jayden Bridgeman would join Burns with seven rebounds to lead all players on the boards as SE gathered 50 rebounds on the day, with Clouet and Briley following with six each while nine players for the Storm had three or more rebounds.

Leslie would snag four steals as Southeastern would record 12 as a team while forcing 24 turnovers.

SE scored the first eight points of the game and would never trail, but after pushing the early lead out to 17 points over the first seven and a half minutes, the Storm would see DCC use a 15-3 run to whittle the Southeastern lead to 28-23 by the 7:23 mark of the half.

It would remain a six-point game with 4:26 to play in the first half before a 9-1 SE run capped by a Clouet bucket would give SE a 14-point lead before settling on a 43-32 lead at the halftime break.

Southeastern would come out and score the first seven points of the second half to stretch the lead to 18 points and this time would not let off the gas as the lead would pass 20 points by the 12:19 mark on a Sternberger three in transition.

The Storm advantage would hit its highest point on a Bridgeman bucket with 6:39 to play to make the lead 85-44.

SE would go on to take the game by a final of 94-55.
