PRYOR, Okla.  – Southeastern exploded for nine runs in the second inning en route to a commanding 15-0 win over Northeastern State on Tuesday night in Pryor, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 5-3 on the season heading into the Great American Conference opening weekend when SE hosts Southern Arkansas Feb. 17-18.

Damon Burroughs led the way for SE with three hits, including a triple and a home run, while driving in five runs and scoring three times.

Cameron French and
Dylan Herd each added a pair of hits, while Reid rice and
Seth Morrow added a hit each.

Cory Bonstrom, Rice, French, and Morrow each drove in a pair of runs.
Â
Bristol Carson got the start and picked up the win, scattering two hits and no runs across five innings with three strikeouts.

Patrick Norman tossed one-third of an inning, followed by two-thirds of an inning by
Wilson Hicks who struck out one of the two batters he faced.

Coby Langford would close out the shutout with an inning of work, striking out one.

Rice would double home
Jake Miller in the top of the first to get the Storm on the board and a batter later French would plate Rice to push the lead to 2-0.

In the top of the second inning, 12-straight batters would reach base safely, with Bonstrom, Rice, French, and Morrow would each collect and RBI, cashing in on nine hits and taking advantage of a pair of RiverHawks errors to put nine runs up and push the lead out to 11-0.

In the third inning Morrow would plate Miller, followed by a Burroughs RBI single with Bonstrom driving in the third run of the inning on a bases-loaded HBP, extending the lead to 14-0.

Burroughs would wrap up scoring in the game in the fifth with a solo homer to set the final score of 15-0.
