DURANT, Okla.  –
Cheyenne Mahy tossed a complete-game shutout and added a solo homer to lift Southeastern to an 8-0 run-rule win in five innings in the rubber match of its series victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-9 overall and 2-1 in Great American Conference play through the first weekend of action.

Mahy moved her season record to 2-0 after scattering a pair of hits over five innings pitched with four strikeouts.
Â
Offensively,
Kamryn Rackley went 3-for-4 on the day with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base.

Alexis Massie and
Jaleigh Durst each added a pair of hits, with Massie driving in two and Durst adding an RBI.

Mahy would connect on a solo homer for her only hit, while
Iliana Olivares and
Kady Fryrear each added a hit.

Olivares would finish with two RBI along with Massie, while
Sammi Dutton, Mahy, and Durst would each drive in one.

Massie would put Southeastern on the board in the first with an RBI double down the leftfield line would plate Rackley for a 1-0 lead.

Southeastenr would pile on in the second inning, first with a Dutton RBI groundout, followed by a two-run single by Olivares to push the lead to 4-0.

A batter later Massie would drive in Rackley and the Storm would take a 5-0 lead after two innings.

Mahy would homer to lead off the fourth and Durst would add an RBI single with two outs and the SE lead would reach 7-0 after four innings.

Beard would walk to lead off the bottom of the fifth and move to second on a Dutton sac bunt before coming home to score on a Rackley single after the shortstop threw the ball away, allowing the winning run to cross for the 8-0 run-rule final.
