SHAWNEE, Okla. – Southeastern pitching was unable to find any traction on Saturday afternoon as the Savage Storm were swept in a doubleheader, falling 14-2 and 12-6 to Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla.

The losses drop SE to 11-12 overall and 4-8 in Great American Conference play.

Game one saw
Damon Burroughs,
Seth Morrow, and
Joseph Ramirez each collect two hits while
Sam Creed and Red Rice added one apiece.
Â
Burroughs would provide the team's lone RBI.
Â
Connor Priest got the start and took the loss after allowing four runs, two of them earned, over two innings with two hits and four strikeouts.
Â
Michael Barta had his shortest outing of the year as he allowed seven runs on six hits without recording an out.
Â
Jakob Berger would follow with 2.2 innings pitched and two runs allowed on six hits with
Patrick Norman closing the game out with 1.1 innings pitched and one run allowed on a hit.

The Storm scored first on Burroughs RBI single in the top of the first inni9ng, but OBU would get a two-run double in the bottom half of the inning to take a 2-1 lead.

They would add two more in the second and put up seven in the third to break open a 12-1 lead.

SE would get a run back in the fifth when Rice scored on an error, but the Bison would tack on a pair of solo homers to make the final score 14-2.

In the finale, Creed and Ramirez posted a pair of hits, with
Cameron Cromer, Burroughs, and
Matt Miles picking up one each.

Burroughs would drive in three runs and Ramirez would plate two.

Dylan Turner got the start and took the loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits in four innings of work.

Cameron Hauch would come on for an inning and was tagged for four runs on two hits.

Coby Langford would finish the game with an inning pitched and one run allowed on a hit.

Burroughs would connect on a three-run homer in the first inning to take the early lead.

OBU would get one back in the bottom half to trim the Storm edge to 3-1.

A Ramirez double would add a run in the second and he would come around to score on an error on a
Dylan Herd sac bunt attempt, pushing the lead to 5-1 in the top of the second.

OBU answered with three in the bottom of the second to close the gap to 5-4.

Another Ramirez RBI would push the lead to 6-4 midway through the third, but a Bison homer would again close that gap to 6-5.

OBU would add four runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth as the Storm offense was held scoreless and the Bison would swipe a 12-6 final score.
