DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern hit four homers in Saturday's opener on its way to a 15-7 win in game one before
Matt Miles provided a walk off sacrifice fly to end game two in the eighth inning picking up an 8-7 win and completing a Saturday Sweep of Henderson State to win the series at Mike Metheny Field.

The sweep lifts the Savage Storm to 13-13 overall on the season and 6-9 in Great American Conference play heading into a midweek non-conference matchup against East Central on March 21 back at Mike Metheny Field.

The game one win also brings head coach
Zach Crabtree's win total as the head coach at Southeastern to 100 and he finished the day with 101 wins as the skipper for the Savage Storm.
John David Muse highlighted the opener on Saturday with a pair of home runs, while
Reid Rice and
Damon Burroughs each added a homer as well.

Burroughs would lead a group of six players to have multi-hit games, collecting three hits and driving in a game-high six RBI.

Cameron Cromer, Rice,
Seth Morrow, Muse, and
Joseph Ramirez each added two hits, while Miles finished with one.
Â
Cromer would drive in three runs, with Rice, Morrow and Muse posting two RBI apiece.
Â
Michael Barta got the start and picked up the win, his third of the season, after allowing six runs on 13 hits while striking out six over six innings.

Jordan Compton would come on and allow a run on two hits in two innings before
Brody Logsdon closed out the contest, allowing a hit on an inning of work.

HSU would lead off game one with a solo homer on the first pitch and would add a run in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead.

Another solo homer in the fourth would give the Reddies a 3-0 lead, but SE would respond in the bottom half, starting with Muse's first homer.

After loading the bases with one out, Cromer would drive in a pair of runs to tie the game at 3-3 with a two-run single.

After reloading the bases, it was Burroughs turn to drive in pair of runs to take the lead and a batter later Morrow would drive in another run to stretchy the lead to 6-3.

Cromer would drive in another run in the fifth, while Burroughs plated two more and Morrow added one to stretch the lead to 10-3.

HSU would answer with three runs in the top of the sixth, but SE added another in the bottom half on Muse's second homer of the game to take an 11-6 lead.

Burroughs would add a two-run homer in the seventh, pushing the lead to 13-6.

The Reddies added a run it eh top of the eighth, but this time it was Rice with a two-run homer to set the final score at 15-7.

In game two, Burroughs posted a 3-for-3 outing, while Miles added two hits.

Rice, Morrow, and
Austin Thorp each added a hit.
Â
Morrow, Burroughs, and Miles each homered, with Morrow and Miles adding three RBI each, while Burroughs drove in one.

Dylan Turner got the start and tossed 4.2 innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.

Coby Langford came on and allowed a hit in one-third of an inning before
Cameron Hauch took over, tossing the final three innings and earning the win after allowing two hits and striking out three.

A Miles double in the second inning put the Storm on the board with a 1-0 lead.

HSU would tie the game up in the top of the third, but Thorp would come around and score on an error in the bottom half of the inning to break the tie.

SE would then close out the inning with Morrow connecting on a three-run homer before Miles followed a batter later with a solo shot to take a 6-1 lead.

The Reddies would pick up two runs in the fourth and would take a 7-6 lead in the top of the fifth with four runs.

A Burroughs solo homer in the bottom of the fifth would knot the game at 7-7, ultimately sending the game to extra innings.

In the bottom of the eighth, Burroughs would triple on a deep drive to left center and after Morrow drew an intentional walk, Miles would fly out to centerfield, bringing home Burroughs for the game-winner in an 8-7 final.
