DURANT, Okla. –
Matt Miles went 3-for-3 to pace Southeastern to 15 team hits en route to a 9-6 win over rival East Central in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon at Mike Metheny Field.

The win lifts the Savage Storm overall record to 14-13 on the season as it preps for a weekend road series in Arkadelphia, Ark., versus Ouachita Baptist.

Mile finished the contest with three hits and a pair of RBI, while
Sam Creed,
Reid Rice, and
Damon Burroughs each added a pair of hits.

Autsin Thorp,
Seth Morrow,
Cory Bonstrom,
Cameron French,
Heath Pickhardt, and
Dylan Herd added a hit apiece.
Â
Miles and Rice led the way with two RBI each, while Morrow and Pickhardt added one each.
Â
Bristol Carson got the star5t and tossed three innings on a scheduled staff outing to pick up his third win of the season after allowing three runs on four hits with a pair of strikeouts.

Jackson Sioson would follow with two innings and was tagged for a pair of unearned runs on two hits with one strikeout.

Patrick Norman struck out two in an inning pitched before
Jakob Berger came on and recorded two outs while allowing a hit and
Coby Langford would enter to retire the final out of the inning.

Charlie Deeds tossed the next inning, allowing one hit, before
Brody Logsdon closed out the contest with an inning of work, allowing an unearned run on two hits.

ECU scored first with an RBI single in the top of the first, but the Storm answered in the bottom half, knotting the game at 1-1 on a sac fly by Rice.

SE then posted four runs with two outs, with back-to-back RBI doubles by Morrow and Miles, before Miles would come around to score on an error and Pickhardt would plate French for a 5-1 lead.

Rice would then drive a two-out shot off the centerfield wall and come all the way around for an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the second, and later in the inning Miles would drive in Burroughs with a single to take a 7-1 lead.

The Tigers would get two runs back in the third on a two-run double, closing the gap to 7-3.

Rice would add a run in the fourth when he scored on an error and Morrow would add another later in the inning on a balk to stretch the lead to 9-3.

ECU would get a two-=run homer in the fifth and tack on another run in the top of the ninth to make the final score 9-6.
