DURANT, Okla.  –
Amberlyn Walsworth and
Reese Taylor each tossed dominating complete games as Southeastern swept a Saturday doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist, taking the opener 1-0 in eight innings before adding an 8-1 win in the nightcap at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The sweep lifts the Savage Storm to 18-14 overall on the season and 12-4 in Great American Conference play with the final game of the series set for noon on Sunday afternoon.

In game one, Walsworth tossed a complete game shutout, even going extra innings to finish off the victory, allowing four hits and striking out nine across 8.0 innings.

Cheyenne Mahy went 3-for-4 in the contest at the plate and provided the walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth.
Â
Gracie Ore would add two hits, while
Kamryn Rackley,
Sabetha Sands, and
Kady Fryrear each picked up a hit.
Â
Walsworth would allow the leadoff hitter to reach in each of the first four innings and would leave them stranded.
Â
However, after allowing the leadoff hitter to reach on a single in the top of the fourth, she would finish the game by retiring 15 batters in a row to preserve the shutout.

In the bottom of the eighth, Rackley would single to shortstop to lead off the inning and move to second on a Sands sac bunt.
Â
Mahy would then bring her home on a sharply-hit single that ricocheted off the third baseman and into left field, allowing Rackley to come around and score form second for the game winner.

In the nightcap, Taylor would allow a run on two hits while striking out six in 7.0 innings of work to earn the win.

Rackley, Ore, and
Sammi Dutton would collect a pair of hits each, while Sands,
Iliana Olivares,
Alexis Massie,
Bailey Beard, and
India McMurray each added a hit.

Sands, Ore, and Dutton would each also log two RBI, with Beard adding one of her own.
Â
Rackley would put the Storm on the board in the first inning when she scored on an error by the Tiger catcher.
Â
In the second, Ore would stretch the lead to 3-0 with a double, followed by a Dutton RBI double and a Beard RBI single to extend the advantage to 5-0.

OBU would tack on a run in the top of the fourth, but the Storm responded in the sixth, first on an RBI double by Dutton, and three batters later Sands would drive in a pair of runs on a single up the middle, pushing the lead to 8-1 which would hold up as the final.
