The loss drops the Savage Storm to 21-21 overall on the season heading into another midweek contest on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. versus Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Jake Miller led the Storm with two hits, one of them home run, while Matt Miles added a pair of hits as well.

Damon Burroughs, Seth Morrow, and Dylan Herd each chipped in a hit.

Sam Creed, Cache Stone, and Miller each logged and RBI.

Bristol Carson got the start and did not allow a hit until the fifth inning, but would ultimately take the loss after allowing a run on three hits in 5.0 innings with three strikeouts.

Connor Priest would throw the next inning and was tagged for a pair of runs on two hits.

Jared Barta followed with an inning of work, allowing a hit, before Patrick Norman came on and allowed a run on a hit without recording an out.

WU opened the scoring with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to take a 3-0 lead.

SE would load the bases with one out in the top of the ninth before Creed drew an RBI walk.

That was followed by a Stone sac fly to cut the score to 4-3, but that was where the rally would end.
