Sam Creed and
Reid Rice each collected a pair of hits to lead Southeastern to a 6-4 road win over Austin College on Tuesday night in Sherman, Texas.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 22-21 overall on the season heading into a weekend road series with Arkansas Tech April 21-22 in Russellville, Ark.

Creed and Rice posted a pair of hits each to lead the Storm, while
Blake McQuain,
Damon Burroughs,
Jake Miller,
Matt Miles,
Cameron French,
Cache Stone,
John David Muse, and
Austin Thorp all added a hit each.

Miller and Muse would post a pair of RBI each to lead SE, while Burroughs and French drove in one each.

Seven Storm pitchers would see action in the contest, with
Charlie Deeds earning the start and tossing the first inning without allowing a run.

Brant Bennett would record the win after tossing 1.1 inning without allowing a run or a hit while striking out one.
Â
Colby Kroutil would then register the save after tossing the final three inning without allowing a run or a hit while striking out two.

AC got on the board first with a pair of runs in the second inning on a pair of RBI singles.

Miller would get the Storm on the board in the third inning with a sac fly to plate
Austin Thorp, cutting the deficit to 2-1.

A French RBI single in the fifth would knot the game at 2-2, but Muse would break that tie later in the inning with a two-run single to score French and Miles for a 4-2 lead.

The Roos responded in the bottom of the fifth with a pair of runs to re-tie the game at 4-4.

Miller would strike again for SE in the sixth with an RBI groundout to drive in Creed for a 5-4 lead.

Burroughs would tack on another run with an RBI single in the seventh to push the lead to 6-4 which would hold up as the final score.
