STILLWATER, Okla. – Despite opening play by picking up the doubles point, Southeastern men's tennis saw its MIAA/GAC Tournament come to an end with a 4-2 loss to No. 24 Washburn in the opening round on Wednesday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 11-9 on the season.

SE rallied from a loss at one doubles to see the No. 45 pair of
Marin Jurkovic and
Juan Gonzalez down the 16
th-ranked duo of Tim Hammes and Santiago Rendon, 6-1 to event he doubles battle.

Thabo Ncube and
Diego Orduz would secure the doubles point after earning a 6-3 win at three doubles over Daniel Bird and Yoshinobu Nakatsuji.

WU would bounce back by picking up wins at one and two singles, but Gonzalez would even the match at 2-2 with a 6-2, 7-5 win at number three singles

Unfortunately, The Ichabods would pick up wins at numbers four and five to swipe the 4-2 final score.
