DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern was unable to overcome a seventh-inning two-run homer by Northwestern Oklahoma State, dropping the series finale o Sunday morning by a 3-2 score at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 21-17 overall on the season and 15-5 in Great American Conference play.

Gracie Ore collected a pair of hits and scored twice, while
Sammi Dutton added a hit and an RBI.

Amberlyn Walsworth got the start but suffered the loss after tossing a complete game and allowing three runs on seven hits with nine strikeouts.

A Dutton single put Southeastern on the board in the second inning, plating Ore for a 1-0 lead.

The Rangers answered with an RBI double in the top of the fourth, but that tie was short lived as Ore would come around to score in the bottom of the fourth when
Marilyn Alvarado reached on an error, taking a 2-1 lead.

That would hold until the top of the seventh when NWOSU connected on a two-out, two-run homer to take a 3-2 lead which would hold up as the final score.
