Reese Taylor tossed a complete game and
Sabetha Sands collected a pair of hits but it was not enough to lift Southeastern as it suffered a 4-0 loss in the series opener against Southern Arkansas on Saturday night in Magnolia, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 30-23 overall on the year and 23-8 in Great American Conference play with the final two games of the series set for a noon doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.

Sands finished the game with a pair of hits, one of them a double, while
Kady Fryrear and
Alexis Massie each added a hit.

Taylor suffered the loss after allowing four runs on 10 hits in six innings of work with four strikeouts.

SAU would take the lead with a two-run double in the second inning and pushed it to 4-0 with a pair of runs in the sixth to set the final score.
