Kady Fryrear and
Bailey Beard each collected hits as Southeastern fell in the Central Region opener against No. 4 Central Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon in Edmond, Okla., in the first round of the NCAA Central Regional.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 33-26 on the season and puts them into an elimination contest on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. versus the loser between Oklahoma Baptist and Harding.

Fryrear and Beard each had a hit for SE to lead the offense.

In the circle,
Reese Taylor tossed a complete game and suffered the loss after allowing five runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.

Fryrear singled in the second to collect the first hit of the game and Beard followed with a single in the third inning, but both were left stranded.

UCO would get on the board first with an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning and Taylor would work out of trouble in the inning to keep the score 1-0.

Neither team would score in the fifth, but the Bronchos would tack on four runs in the sixth inning, powered by a three-run double to stretch its lead to 5-0 which would end up as the final score.
