DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern volleyball returns to action Sep. 8-9 when it makes the trip to Arkadelphia, Ark., for four matches as part of the Bettye Wallace Invitational.

The Savage Storm will open with Lane at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 8, followed by a matchup with West Alabama at 12:30 p.m. that afternoon.

On Sept. 9 SE returns to action at 8:30 a.m. versus Western New Mexico before closing out the weekend against Keiser at 1 p.m.

The Storm opened the season at the Yellowjacket Invitational in Billings, Mont., finishing that weekend with a 1-3 record that included a win over Minot State.

D'Nari Mills opened her season with 76 kills over four matches at the tournament & averaged 5.07 kills per set which led the GAC over the opening weekend.

Meanwhile,
Ruthie Forson finished the tournament with 142 assists, also turning in a league-best 9.47 assists per set.

On defense,
Patience Lewis led the defense with 4.53 digs per set, while Mills added 3.67 dps to her already impressive offensive numbers.

Lane has opened the 2023 season with a 2-5 record and is riding a five-match losing streak while UWA is 1-4 on the year, picking up a win in its latest outing to end a four-match losing skid.

WNMU heads into the weekend at 0-4 after a trip to California, while Keiser, an NAIA program, enters play with a 13-4 record.
