DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State bounces back at home with a 3-0 win over Arkansas-Monticello in the Bloomer Sullivan Gym on Thursday Night.

The SE attack was firing on all cylinders, finishing the match with a .364 attack average while hitting over .400 in the first two sets. The Storm had three players hit over .500, led by
Ruthie Forson, who tallied eight kills on a .571 attack average.
Noelia Rocha chipped in six of the team's 44 kills on a .667 attack.
D'Nari Mills recorded her 15
th double-double of the season with a team-high 12 kills and added another 12 digs to her total. Forson dished out 30 assists, and
Patience Lewis would see a team-best 20 digs from her libero position.
Michera Moffett led the defensive efforts at the net with 5.0 total blocks, and Mills would see another 4.0.
SET ONE
A fast start by the Savage Storm had them leading the Blossoms 10-1 after nine straight services off the hand of Lewis, while Mills provided three kills during the 10-0 run. SE extended its advantage to 13-3 with an ace from
Faith Kruebbe and two errors by the Blossoms before UAM used its first timeout. Out of the break, Mills added another three kills to her total as the red-hot Storm attack raced ahead to a 25-12 set win on a .438 attack average.
SET TWO
Southeastern and Arkansas-Monticello were tied at 14-14 after the Blossoms opened the set with a 5-3 lead. The Storm soon took the lead on a 4-0 burst capped off by an ace from Lewis to go in front 18-14. The two sides went point-for-point from there, as Southeastern held a three-to-four-point margin over the Blossoms. SE picked up the pace again, closing the frame on a 5-1 run to win 25-18 while attacking at a .448 clip. Rocha provided SE with five kills in the set, including two in the final 4-0 run.
SET THREE
Another good start by the Storm saw them leading UAM 14-4 at the first break on an 8-0 stretch, featuring two kills from Moffett. The Blossoms began to claw their back into the match on a 5-0 run to cut SE's edge to 16-11 and later 17-13. The blue-and-gold found their rhythm again with kills from
Alexis Williams and Kruebbe before finishing the frame with a 5-1 run to claim the final set 25-15.
Southeastern (9-11, 5-5) resumes play tomorrow at 4 p.m. when the Muleriders of Southern Arkansas visit Bloomer Sullivan Gym.
