DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State falls at home to Oklahoma Baptist 3-0 on Thursday night in the Bloomer Sullivan Gym.
 
D'Nari Mills and 
Michera Moffett led the attack for the Savage Storm with 13 and 10 kills, respectively, while 
Ruthie Forson dished out 31 assists. 
Patience Lewis tallied 26 digs, and 
Alexis Williams led the defensive efforts at the net with 4.0 total blocks.
 
Southeastern (10-13, 6-6) heads back to the Lone Star State for its final non-conference match against UT-Dallas on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
 
SET ONE
SE opened up with an 8-2 lead over the Bison to start the set after two kills from both Moffett and Mills. Following a Bison timeout, Oklahoma Baptist rattled off five straight points to cut the gap to one and later took the lead 13-12 with four straight kills. The visitors added to their advantage, building a 7-1 run to get to set point before getting the final point to claim the first set 25-17.
 
SET TWO
Oklahoma Baptist carried the momentum over from the first frame, jumping out to a 10-2 lead on a 9-1 burst. A flurry of points by the Storm trimmed the Bison edge to 14-8 before Oklahoma Baptist picked up the pace again, stretching its lead to 20-11. Southeastern continued to battle, building a 5-0 run to cut the gap down to four, 20-16.
 
After a timeout from the visitors, Oklahoma Baptist rattled off three straight points to go ahead 23-16. SE put the Bison under late pressure with a 3-0 burst, but the Oklahoma Baptist attack would prove too much, as the Bison took the set 25-20.
 
SET THREE
A fast start by the Storm gave them a  7-2 lead, but the frame would soon be tied 7-all after a 5-1 run from the Bison. From there, the two sides went point-for-point, with the set seeing six ties with the score locked at 16-all. Oklahoma Baptist found a breakthrough on a 2-0 run to go in front 18-16, and the Storm would use its first timeout.
 
SE found its rhythm again after the timeout, stringing together a 3-0 run to tie the set 20-all to force a timeout from Oklahoma Baptist. A late push by the Bison proved the difference maker, as OBU scored five of the final six points to win the final frame 25-21.
