DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State picks up its second win of the season, defeating Arlington Baptist 94-74 inside the Bloomer Sullivan Arena on Friday Night.

SE (2-2) shot 57.1 percent from the field (36-63) while going 9-of-26 at the three-point line. The blue and gold won the battle at the glass 45-to-35 and forced the Patriots into 11 turnovers. Arlington Baptist was held to 38.0 percent shooting from the floor and 26.9 percent from beyond the arc.

The Storm had four scorers reach double-figure points, led by Elijah Hughey with 21 on 8-of-13 shooting. Halldorsson added eight assists to his totals, while Condiff knocked down a team-best three triples.

Southeastern opened with a 7-4 lead behind six points by Hughey, but a quick burst of points from the Patriots, including a three-pointer, tied the score 11-all. The Storm replied, building an 11-0 run featuring back-to-back triples from Jalen Williams and Chandler Dickinson to push SE ahead 24-13. Hughey connected from deep to extend the gap to 32-16 and added to the lead moments later with a layup.

However, a flurry of points by Arlington Baptist over the next three minutes trimmed the Storm's advantage down to six, 38-32. Hughey broke the scoring drought with a triple, and another shot from deep by Williams helped stretch the SE advantage back to double-digits at the halftime break, 50-37.

Briley provided Southeastern with the team's first four points in the second half, leading 56-42. The Patriots continued to battle, trimming the Storm's lead down to single digits. Halldorsson picked up the pace for Southeastern over the next few minutes, scoring the next six points to extend the lead to 71-63.

SE began to build a gap on a 7-0 run capped off by a three-pointer by Condiff, who would stay hot, knocking down two consecutive three-pointers moments later to extend the lead to 20, 90-70. The Storm tightened up on defense, holding Arlington Baptist to just four points in the final two and a half minutes to win 94-74.
