BETHANY, Okla. – Southeastern closed out the Raising Cane's Softball Festival with a pair of wins on Sunday, first running away from Missouri Southern State 10-6 before closing the weekend with a 5-2 victory over Northeastern State in Bethany, Okla.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 6-6 on the season heading into Great American Conference play which begins Feb. 23-24 at Arkansas-Monticello.

In the opener on Sunday,
Sabetha Sands led the way with a 4-for-4 performance with two RBI and three runs scored.
Â
Channing Sarver followed with a three-hit outing with two Rbi and a run scored.
Â
Gracie Ore,
Kamryn Rackley, and
Sage Harlow each had a pair of hits.with Ore driving in two and Rackley plating one.

Emily Simmons, Kady Frrear, and
Sammi Dutton had a hit each, with Fryrear driving in two and Dutton adding one RBI.
Â
Amberlyn Walsworth would get the start and take a no decision after tossing 2.1 innings and allowing four runs on three hits with two strikeouts.
Â
Simmons would come on in relief and allowed two runs on four hits in 4.2 innings while striking out two.
Â
MSSU jumped to a 2-0 lead on a two-run single in the bottom of the first and doubled that lead to 4-0 with a two-run homer in the third inning.

SE got on the board in the top of the fourth in a big way, with Sarver bringing in the first run on a bunt single.
Â
Fryrear would drive in another run a batter later on a squeeze bunt that plated
Sabetha Sands.
Â
Ore would then tie the game with a two-run single two batters after that.
Â
As the inning continued, Rackley would drive in Ore to give the Storm the lead at 5-4.
Â
The Lions would change pitchers, but it did not slow the offense as Sands would drive in two more runs on a single, followed by RBI singles from Sarver and Fryrear to extend the lead to 9-4.

Dutton would drive in an insurance run in the top of the sixth with an RBI single that plated Sands for a 10-4 lead.
Â
MSSU would connect on a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh, but that was where the rally would stop as the Storm would hold on for the 10-6 win.

In the weekend finale, Sands,
Iliana Olivares,
Abby Beck, and Fryrear each logged a hit, with Olivares driving in two and Fryrear adding one RBI.

Alyson Malone got the start and picked up the win after tossing a complete game and allowing two runs, one earned, on eight hits with eight strikeouts.

NSU would get on the board first, scoring on a passed ball in the top of the second inning, but the Storm would answer in similar fashion in the bottom half when
India McMurray scored on a wild pitch.

Fryrear would break the tie in the fourth with an RBI double to plate
Kasey Simmons and take a 2-1 lead.
Â
The Riverhawks would tie the game on an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning, but
Kasey Simmons would drive in the go ahead run on a sac bunt with
Bailey Beard scoring to take a 3-2 lead.

Olivares would take on two more runs with a single that plated Dutton and Sands to extend the lead to 5-2 which would hold up as the final.
