MONTICELLO, Ark. –
India McMurray homered twice in game two to help lift Southeastern to a 3-2 win to salvage a split against Arkansas-Monticello on Friday afternoon after dropping game one 3-2 in Monticello, Ark.

The split moves the Savage Storm to 7-7 on the season and 1-1 in Great American Conference play with the rubber-match in the series set for noon on Saturday.

In the finale,
Kady Fryrear picked up three hits, while
Gracie Ore and McMurray had two each.
Â
Kamryn Rackley,
Abby Beck,
Iliana Olivares,
Sabetha Sands, and
Sammi Dutton would each add a hit.

McMurray's two hits went for home runs, finishing with two RBI, while Rackley drove in the other run.
Â
Amberlyn Walsworth got the start and tossed a complete game in the win to move to 3-0 after allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts.

McMurry would connect on her first solo homer in the fourth and Rackley would later drive in Fryrear on an RBI single to extend the lead to 2-0.

McMurray would club her second home rot center field in the fifth inning to push the lead to 3-0.

The extra run would come in handy as UAM would get a two-run homer in the fifth to close the Storm edge to 3-2, but SE would hold on for the win to even the series.

In game one, Ore, Rackley, Olivares, Sands, Fryrear, and
Ananda Garrison each collected a hit, with Olivares driving in two runs.

Reese Taylor got the start and tossed 6.2 innings in the loss, allowing three runs on eight hits.

An Olivares RBI single in the first inning would score Rackley to take a 1-0 lead.

That expanded to 2-0 in the third when Olivares would single home Ore.
Â
UAM would get a run back on an RBI groundout in the third, closing the score to 2-1.

The Cotton Blossoms would score a pair of runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to swipe the opener, 3-2.
