MONTICELLO, Ark. – Southeastern closed out its three-game conference series versus Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon with a 6-3 loss in Monticello, Ark.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 7-8 overall on the year and 1-2 in Great American Conference play, while the Cotton Blossom improve to 10-7 and 2-1 in league play.

Gracie Ore and
Sage Harlow each collected two hits, while
Kamryn Rackley,
Iliana Olivares,
India McMurray,
Kady Fryrear,
Sabetha Sands, and
Sammi Dutton each added a hit.

Harlow would drive in a pair of RBI and Fryrear plated one.

Alyson Malone got the start and tossed 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on five hits with four strikeouts, earning her first loss of the season.

Emily Simmons would throw 1.1 innings in relief, allowing a run on three hits before
Reese Taylor came on and would finish the contest with two innings pitched, allowing a run on two hits.

Harlow would put SE on the board with an RBI single in the top of the first, but a UAM two-run homer in the bottom half would make the score 2-1.

In the third, Harlow would double home Olivares and Fryrear would double home Harlow as the Storm retook the lead at 3-2 midway through three innings.

The Cotton Blossom would get a two-run single in the bottom of the third to regain the lead and tack on a run in the fifth and another in the sixth to make the final score 6-3.
