Grace Alverson would each connect on a pair of free throws with under 10 seconds to play to ice a 75-68 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Thursday night in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The Savage Storm enhances their record to 10-15 overall and 6-13 in Great American Conference play while extending their winning streak to three games. The win also closes the gap between SE and the eighth-place spot in the standings to just one game with three remaining on the schedule beginning with Henderson State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ouachita Baptist falls to an overall record of 9-14 and a 7-12 in conference play.

Holli Lindley powered the offense with 21 points, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-5 at the charity stripe, while also hauling in six rebounds.

Grace Alverson was next in line with 18 points, hitting 5-of-9 from the field and 8-of-9 at the free throw line.

Caitlin Kobiske joins the double figures club with 12 points and leads the team with eight rebounds and five assists in the contest.

Ashton Hackler also turned in 12 points, hitting 3-of-5 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 at the free throw line. She would also pull down six rebounds and dish out three assists against the Tigers.

Kenzli Warden follows with 12 points thanks in part to a perfect 6-of-6 effort at the charity stripe.

Southeastern jumped out to a 6-0 lead out of the gate, and after OBU twice closed the gap to three points, the Storm would reel off a 10-2 run capped by a
Grace Alverson jumper to take a 20-9 lead, eventually settling on a 20-11 lead at the first quarter break.

The Storm would quickly push the lead back to 11 points, but the Tigers would answer on the next possession before both teams sent into a drought, going 3:08 without a point being scored before OBU scored on back-to-back possessions to close to 22-17 with 3:54 to play in the half.

SE would recover and push its lead back to nine points, but the Tigers would strike last and cut the Southeastern advantage at the half to 31-24.

Southeastern would again push its lead to double-figures, but OBU would chip away and use a 19-7 run to take a 46-44 lead at the end of three quarters.

The Tiger lead would reach four points early in the fourth quarter, but an
Aimee Alverson three would trigger an 8-0 run that put SE back in front with 7:02 to play.

The Storm would slowly extend its lead, going up 71-61 with 35 seconds to play, but a 7-0 run on three-straight possessions closed the Storm lead to 71-68 with nine seconds to play.

Kobiske would drain a pair of free throws with seven ticks left to make the lead five points and then block a shot on the opposite end, setting up two more game-icing free throws by
Grace Alverson to make the final 75-68.
