MONTICELLO, Ark. – Five Southeastern players scored in double-figures and the Savage Storm shot 61.1 percent from the field as a team en route to an 85-67 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night in Monticello, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 16-7 on the season overall and 12-3 in Great American Conference play, while the Boll Weevils slip to 9-11 overall and 7-8 in league play.

Brennen Burns led the SE offense in multiple ways, pacing the scoring with 18 on 8-of-12 shooting, while completing a double-double with a game-high 11 assists.

Robert Briley came off the bench to add 17 points while going a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor.

Kyle Leslie finished with 15 points on five threes, while
Landon Condiff Matched those 15 points with five threes of his own.

Kody Clouet rounded out the double-digit scoring with 13 with a trio of threes.

The Storm offense would connect on 33-of-54 total shots and added a 16-of-32 effort from beyond the arc.

Clouet would lead the way on the boards with seven rebounds while chipping in four assists.

Leslie would hit 5-of-7 threes in the first half to lead Southeastern while Burns joined him in double-figures over the first 20 minutes with 10 points while handing out five assists before the break.

The game was back-and-forth out of the gate before the Storm used a 9-0 run to push the lead out to 17-10 by the 12:35 mark of the half.

SE would eventually stretch its lead out to 15 points on a Burns jumper with 7:39 to play, before UAM would chip away, cutting that lead in half to 44-36 at the halftime break.

The Storm lead would hover at eight points over the first two minutes of the second half before a Clouet three would trigger a 17-4 run that was capped by a Condiff three that pushed the lead to 65-44 by the 14:30 mark.

Southeastern would eventually push its lead out to a game-high 23 points at 73-50 with 8:53 to play on a Clouet jumper.

UAM would chip at the Storm edge, but were unable to mount any sort of rally as SE would leave Monticello with an 85-67 win.
