ADA, Okla. – Southeastern put together a road doubleheader sweep of rival East Central on Tuesday afternoon, first picking up a 7-5 win in the opener before running away with a 10-0 run-rule victory in the nightcap in Ada, Okla.

The sweep lifts the Savage Storm to 11-3 overall and 4-5 in Great American Conference play heading into a three-game series versus Henderson State March 15-16 at the Southeastern Softball Field.

In the opener,
Gracie Ore posted a 4-for-5 outing to lead all hitters in the contest.
Â
Sage Harlow followed with three this and drove in a pair of runs.
Â
Kady Fryrear added a pair of hits and drove in a game-high three runs.

Reese Taylor,
Iliana Olivares, Ananda garrison, Morgan Kennedy, and
Bailey Beard each added a hit, with Beard's going for a home run.

Garrison would add an RBI.

Reese Taylor got the start and picked up the win after tossing six innings and allowing five runs on nine hits with one strikeout.

Amberlyn Walworth would come on for an inning and pick up her first save of the season after tossing the final inning.

A Fryrear double in the first would drive in two runs and put the Storm in front, with an RBI single by Harlow in the second pushing the lead to 3-0.

ECU would get a run back in the bottom of the second to cut into the lead, but a Beard solo homer and another RBI double by Fryrear in the fourth would extend the lead to 5-1.

The Tigers would close the score to 5-3 on a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth, but RBI singles from Harlow and Garrison in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively, pushed SE back out to a 7-1 lead.

ECU would collect a pair of RBI singles in the sixth to make the final score 7-5.

Game two saw
Emily Simmons pick up her third win of the season in the circle with a complete-game shutout, tossing five innings and scattering four hits with four strikeouts.

Ore, Taylor,
Sammi Dutton, and Beard each collected two hits in the contest, while Fryrear, Simmons, and Garrison picked up one each.

Ore, Taylor, and Dutton would each drive in two runs, while Fryrear, Simmons, and Beard plated one apiece.

Taylor would single home Ore in the top of the first to put SE on the board.

Dutton would add an RBI single in the second, followed by RBI singles from Ore and Fryrear to push the lead to 3-0.

Taylor would then draw a bases-loaded walk to push a run home before Harlow would come home on an error to extend the lead to 6-0 through two innings.

Ore would single home a run in the third, with Dutton and Beard adding RBI singles in the fourth to push the lead out to 9-0.

A Simmons sac fly in the fifth would end the scoring as the run-rule would bring the game to an end after five innings in a 10-0 win by the Storm.
