CLAREMORE, Okla. – Southeastern was haunted by four errors on the afternoon as Washburn cashed in with six unearned runs as the Savage Storm dropped a neutral-stie matchup on Tuesday afternoon 12-4 in Claremore, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to-9-17 overall on the season heading into a three-game conference series versus Ouachita Baptist March 22-23 back at Mike Metheny Field.

Austin Thorp collected a pair of hits for SE and drove in a run to lead the way.

Cache Stone,
Coby Grimsley,
Jake Miller and
Kyler Copeland each added a hit.
Â
Miller would home on his lone hit, while Copeland doubled.
Â
Stone, Miller, and
Dylan Herd would each drive in a run as well.
Â
Brett Tanksley got the start and tossed 4.2 innings in the loss, allowing four runs on six hits with one strikeout.

Hayden Alexander followed with 1.1 innings and allowed a pair of unearned runs, followed by
Michael Minaya who was tagged for four unearned runs in an inning of work.

Jared Barta would toss the eighth and allowed two runs on two hits before
Dylan Turner came on and tossed a scoreless ninth.

The Ichabods would put their first three betters on and send eight to the plate in the top of first inning to open a 3-0 lead.

WU would tack on a run in the top of the third on a hangup play, but the Storm would get a run back when Stone legged out an RBI fielder's choice which scored
Dylan Herd to close the gap to 4-1.

Jake Miller would continue to close the gap with a solo homer to left in the bottom of the fourth followed by an RBI groundout by Herd to cut the deficit to 4-3 after four innings.

Washburn would extend its lead to 6-3 in the top pf the sixth inning with a pair of unearned runs.

The Ichabods would tag on four more unearned runs in the seventh before bringing in two in the eighth, pushing its lead to 12-4 which would hold up as the final score.
