WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Southeastern's woes continued on Saturday, dropping both ends of a conference twinbill with a 17-7 loss in game one and a 16-15 loss in the series finale versus Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, Okla.

The losses drop the Savage Storm to 6-12 overall on the season and 0-9 in Great American Conference play.

The Storm would collect just three hits in the opener, with
Damon Burroughs picking up one and
Jake Miller connecting on two.
Â
However, SE would draw 10 walks, with Burroughs,
Austin Thorp, and
Coby Grimsley each drawing two.
Â
Thorp would finish the game with two RBI, while Burroughs,
Nick Hill,
Yanluis Ortiz, and
John David Muse each drove on one.
Â
Bristol Carson got the start and took the loss, allowing two unearned runs on no hits in one inning of work.
Â
Hayden Alexander,
Colby Kroutil,
Corbin Lingo, and
Parker Pecina each made an appearance, with each surrendering at least one run.

SWOSU would take a 2-0 lead in the first and the Storm would answer in the second when
Cam Wheeler scored on a wild pitch.
Â
The Bulldogs would push the lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the second and SE would get a run back in the top of the fourth on a Thorp walk.
Â
SWOSU would then put up five runs in the bottom of the fourth, but the Storm would answer with five of their own in the top of the fifth to close the gap to 8-7.

However, the Bulldogs would score nine unanswered runs over the final three innings to hand SE a 17-7 loss in seven innings.

In the finale, Thorp would lead the offense with three hits, while
Antonio Crews, Hill,
Cache Stone, Miller, and Wheeler added two apiece.

Burroughs, Muse, and
Matt Miles had a hit each.
Â
Thorp would drive in four runs in the contest, with Miller and Wheeler plating three apiece.

Hill added two RBI, while Burroughs, Stone, and Muse drove in one each.

Jackson Sioson got the start and tossed 4.0 innings and allowed four runs on six hits with one strikeout.

Jared Barta followed with an inning of work, allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits.

Brody Logsdon would come on and toss the final 1.1 innings and take the loss after allowing seven runs on seven hits.

Wheeler put the Storm on the board in the second with a solo homer, but SE would fall behind in the bottom half 2-1.

Burroughs would homer in the third, followed by a two run single by Miller and a three-run triple from Thorp to jump out to a 7-2 lead.

The Bulldogs would pick up a run each in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to cut the SE lead to 7-5 after five.

The Storm would follow by plating six runs in the top of the sixth, pushing its lead to 13-5.

SWOSU would put up nine runs in the bottom of the sixth, taking a 14-13 lead into the seventh.
Â
Stone and Wheeler would each single in a run to regain the lead for the Storm at 15-14.

The lead would not hold though as the Bulldogs would score two in the bottom of the seventh to hand SE a 16-15 loss.
