ALVA, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State falls on the road after five sets to Northwestern Oklahoma State 3-2 inside the Percefull Fieldhouse.

Ruthie Forson saw her fourth triple-double of the season, recording 16 kills, 34 assists and 11 digs. The Denton, Texas native held an attack percentage of .652, which is the fifth-highest attack average recorded by an SE player in a match.

D'Nari Mills led the attack with 18 kills and recorded her seventh double-double this season, adding 22 digs to her totals.
Michera Moffett had a career night, registering a career-high eight blocks, and would finish with seven kills and four digs.

Southeastern (4-8, 1-2) returns home on Tuesday, Oct. 1, to host Southern Nazarene at 6 p.m. from the Bloomer Sullivan Gym.

SET ONE
A pair of errors by the blue-and-gold gave the Rangers the lead early before back-to-back kills by
Faith Kruebbe and an ace from Forson put the Storm in front 8-7. Errors continued to plague both sides in the opening set, with SE holding a slim edge over the Rangers16-14.

After a Ranger timeout, Southeastern was its own worst enemy, committing two more errors to give NWOSU a 19-17 advantage. The SE attack regrouped after a timeout and slammed down three kills before three straight kills by Mills gave the Storm the first frame 25-23.

SET TWO
A slow start by the Storm saw Northwestern build a 7-3 lead at the first break. Northwestern added to its lead on a 5-0 burst and later went ahead 16-6. The Rangers attack continued to score in flurries and would take the second set 25-14 to even the match 1-1. Â Â

SET THREE
Little separated the two sides in the opening rallies with the frame locked at 6-all and later 11-11. SE built a 3-0 run capped off by a kill by
Noelia Rocha to regain the lead 14-13 and force an NWOSU timeout. Moffett and Forson continued the run out of the break with a pair of kills, forcing another timeout from the host after extending the SE lead to 17-13.

Forson provided Southeastern with its next two points before the Storm closed out the frame on a 6-2 run capped off by a kill from Kruebbe to win the third set 25-17.

SET FOUR
The momentum stayed with Southeastern, jumping out to an 8-4 lead over the Rangers. SE held a three to four-point margin over NWOSU before a quick 4-0 spurt gave the blue-and-gold a 15-7 edge. Northwestern replied with a 3-0 run and continued to chip away at the lead, as the Storm led 17-13 after using a timeout.

The Rangers remained hot after the break, building a 3-0 run to cut Southeastern's advantage to two, 18-16. Northwestern stayed on the heels of Southeastern with a 4-1 run and would eventually tie the frame 22-all. NWOSU finished off the set on a 5-1 run to win 25-23.

SET FIVE
Southeastern and Northwestern were locked at 5-5 in the final set, and the Storm would be the first to find a breakthrough on a 7-0 run, capped off with back-to-back blocks by Rocha to lead 12-5.

NWOSU replied with a flurry of points of its own, going on a 5-0 run to trim SE's lead to 12-10, forcing the blue-and-gold to use a timeout. The Rangers carried the momentum all the way to match point, scoring the final nine points of the frame to win 15-12.
