DURANT, Okla. – Following a monster effort in Southeastern's road win over Northwestern Oklahoma State, junior linebacker
Braeden Winters has picked up Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Winters, a native of Bartlesville, Okla., racked up a career-best 14 tackles versus the Rangers and was allover the field as he added four tackles for loss and a pair of sacks.

His efforts help power a Storm defense that held the Rangers to a net of 51 yards rushing, and he ranks second in the GAC in tackles with 11.0per game through four outings.

Winters and the Storm return home to host Homecoming on Oct. 5 when it welcomes nationally-ranked Ouachita Baptist to Paul Laird Field for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
