Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Slow Start Downs SE on the Road at Ouachita Baptist, 83-58

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – First-half struggles slow down Southeastern Oklahoma State on the road at Ouachita Baptist 83-58 in the Bill Vining Arena.

SE's Daniel Halldorsson, Landon Condiff and DJ Dill all finished with 11 points, while Condiff paced the team with three triples. Halldorsson added a season-high 14 rebounds for a double-double, and the Storm would end the game with 32 as a unit.

A slow start from the Storm and Tigers kept two of the top-scoring offenses in the GAC in check, as Ouachita held a 10-5 lead heading into the second media break with 11:46 left in the half. Southeastern continued to struggle to find the basket out of the timeout with just one field goal over the next two minutes, which allowed the hosts to build a 17-7 edge.

After the slow start, Ouachita started to heat up and could not miss, outscoring Southeastern 13-2 to stretch its advantage. Dill would provide the Storm its final five points of the half, with the Tigers ahead 39-19 at the break.

A faster start to the second half saw both sides going shot-for-shot, as Halldorsson and Camacho Gomez were able to find the basket. From there, the three-point ball began to fall for Southeastern, with Dill, Dickinson and Condiff all connecting from deep. Condiff would add two more triples moments later to finish with 11 second-half points.

Another three-pointer dropped for SE, this time from Halldorsson, who would provide two more points just seconds later. Andrija Brzovic and Dill would combine for the final points for the blue and gold in the remaining three minutes of the game.

Southeastern (6-13, 4-9) wraps up its road trip with a Saturday afternoon contest versus Henderson State on Feb. 1 at 1 p.m.
