Brown Earns Academic All-District Honor

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern running back DJ Brown has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
 
To qualify, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and participated in 90% of the team's games or started in at least 66% of games.
 
Brown, a junior from Leonard, Texas, is a finance major who picked up All-Great American Conference honors on the season after finished third in the GAC in rushing yards per game with 71.3 per outing, turning in 784 yards on 175 carries on the season, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and finishing with three rushing touchdowns. He would add 11 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown as well.
 
He will now advance to the ballot for Academic All-American which will be announced at the end of January.
