Kameron Lockhart and
Donovan Shannon each scored second-half touchdowns as Southeastern survived three first-half turnovers to rally for a 14-10 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday night in Shawnee, Okla.

The win evens the Savage Storm record at 4-4 on the season and in Great American Conference play.

Bo Atterberry, "Boy the rain and adversity these guys have been battling. Very proud of them. God win, very good win."

"Seemed like it was pouring when we had the ball, Atterberry continued. "They executed pretty well there and good on them. I loved the way these guys came out here and fought and were able to punch a couple in." Â

SE now turns its attention to its Nov. 1 Homecoming matchup hosting Henderson State at 2 p.m. at Paul Laird Field at Spend Life Wisely Stadium.

The Storm piled up 339 yards of offense on the ground and finished the contest with 415 yards of total offense in the contest.
Â
Lockhart led all rushers in the contest to the tune of 143 yards on 11 carries, averaging 13.0 yard per tote and finishing with a touchdown on the game's longest run.

Shannon was next in line and tallied 86 yards on 15 carries with a score.
Â
Johnathan Cobb Jr added 58 yards on the ground as well.
Â
Shannon was also the team's leading receiver with 59 yards on four catches.
Â
Luke Hohenberger finished the game with 68 yards passing on four completions.
Â
The Storm defense was stout, holding the Bison to 224 yards of total offense and 46 yards on the ground.
Â
Andrew Grissom and
De'Angelo Shanks led the way with five tackles each, while Shanks and
William Billings each logged two tackles for loss and a sack.

Kamron Field snagged an interceptions, while
Trevion Butler broke up a game-high three passes.

Southeastern got off to a slow start with a punt on its first possession and a muffed punt one what should have been its second.
Â
OBU took advantage of the turnover and two plays later scored on a 16-yard run to take a 7-0 lead.

The next Storm drive ended with a fumble, but SE returned the favor when Wallis fell on a Bison fumble caused by Shanks.

Southeastern's next two drives ended in turnovers, an interception followed by a fumble, with OBU taking the second one to the SE 31 before hitting a 49-yard field goal to push its lead to 10-0.

Following the field goal, neither team was able to finish a drive as the Storm moved the ball into Bison territory on three of their last four drives but were unable to score.

Despite four first half turnovers the SE offense still put together 173 yards of total offense with 131 of it coming on the ground while the defense held the Bison to 59 total yards of offense in the first half.

SE opened the second half with a 68-yard drive that ended on a turnover on downs inside the Bison 10 yard line.

After two OBU three-and-outs and one by the Storm, Southeastern got its first offensive break S Lockhart broke loose for a 67-yard touchdown scamper with 5:05 to play in the third quarter, closing the gap to 10-7.

Southeastern forced another three-and-out but found its next drive staring down a fourth-and-nine at its own 27 yardline where
D'Teaurean Johnson took the direct snap on a fake punt and made a man miss in the backfield before reeling off 36 yards into OBU territory on the very first play of the fourth quarter.

The drive continued and twice faced third down with Shannon converting both of them, including a 23-yard catch and run down to the Bison one yardline.
Â
A play later Shannon punched it in and put Southeastern up 14-10.
Â
OBU missed a 47-yard field goal on the ensuing drive and Fields snagged an interception to end the next Bison drive.
Â
Oklahoma Baptist mounted one final drive down to the SE 12 yardline where Shanks logged a fourth-down sack to end the drive and secure the Storm victory.
