SHAWNEE, Okla. – Southeastern ends its road slate with a 3-0 defeat to Oklahoma Baptist in the Noble Complex on Thursday night.

Jasmin Dion pulled the strings for the Savage Storm, passing around 23 assists, while
Noelia Rocha led the attack with eight kills.
Maci Morrison and
Alexis Williams combined for ten kills, and
Merrick Hammel would pace the back row with 11 digs.

Southeastern (7-17, 2-10) returns to Bloomer Sullivan Gym on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. to host rivals East Central for the second meeting.

SET ONE
Southeastern and Oklahoma Baptist were level 5-5 after kills from Williams and Rocha, but a run of scores for the Bison pushed them out to an 11-6 lead. OBU kept its foot on the gas, as its advantage grew to 16-8 and the Storm attack remained limited by the Bison, who later secured a 25-11 set win.

SET TWO
A slow start by the Storm allowed Oklahoma Baptist to build an early 10-4 lead. A pair of attack errors and an ace from
Faith Kruebbe helped SE trim the gap to four, but the pace picked up again for the Bison, who stretched their lead back to seven, 18-11. Oklahoma Baptist controlled the final rallies to win the set 25-15.

SET THREE
The two sides were tied 8-all to begin the third set, and the Bison soon found a gap on a 6-0 run to lead 15-9, which later grew to 18-10. From there, SE and OBU went point-for-point, as Rocha chipped in two more kills for the Storm to trail by seven. Oklahoma Baptist held its margin for the last exchanges of the frame for a 25-17 victory.
