Men’s Tennis Defeats Texas A&M-Texarkana and Weatherford College

DURANT, Okla. – The Southeastern Oklahoma State earns two wins over Texas A&M-Texarkana and Weatherford College, defeating TAMUT 4-3 and WC 4-0 on Saturday.
 
The Savage Storm hit the road, traveling to Richardson, Texas, for a meeting with UT Dallas on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m.
 
MATCH ONE: SE 4, TAMUT 3
The Storm led 1-0 after the doubles match with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to secure the doubles point. Eric Poindexter and Luis Ching earned the first doubles win 6-3 at No. 3 and the partnership of Jose Pinto and German Vallejo turned a 6-4 win at No. 2.
 
Texas A&M-Texarkana tied things up 1-1 at the start of the singles matches with a win at No. 2, but Benjamin Fracassi would give SE the lead again with a 1-6, 6-1 and 1-0 victory at No. 3. TAMUT again tied the match 2-all with a win at No. 4, and the blue and gold soon went back in front with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 by Djordje Kurcubic and German Callejo, as SE led 4-2.

The duo of Fracassi and Kurcubic won at No. 1 in their doubles match to set up a 1-0 lead for the Storm after Ching and Poindexter won 6-2 at No. 3. Luke Tinnock quickly made it 2-0 at the start of the singles matches, winning at No. 2. Palomares and Fraccassi soon followed with victories at No. 3 and No. 1 to secure a match win 4-0.
