FORT SMITH, Ark. – At the end of the final round of play at the Hardscrabble Invitational, Southeastern Oklahoma State places 15th with a three-round score of 144-over 984. The Savage Storm concluded the last day with their best round of play at the event, shooting 38-over 318.
Henderson State held on to win the tournament with a final score of 63-over 903, and Midwestern State remained in second at 78-over 918. Lubbock Christian jumped a spot to tie with MSU, while Missouri Southern (+92) and Arkansas Tech (+95) round out the top five in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Karen Kim turned in her best round of the event on the final day, carding 7-over 77 to move up five spots on the individual leaderboard. For the event, Kim shot 29-over 239 with four birdies to place 36
th. Like Kim,
Carley Button climbed the leaderboard on the last day, placing in a tie for 45
th with a 54-hole score of 33-over 243. Button saved her best for last, turning her lowest round of the event in round three with an 8-over 78.
Making the biggest move of the day,
Hailey Richard shot up 13 spots on the player into a tie for 50
th. Richard carded a 9-over 79 in the third round to end the tournament 35-over 245. After three rounds,
Hope Walthall placed 78
th with a final score of 47-over 257 after posting her best round in the two days with a 14-over 84.
Lucy Handley turned a 15-over 85 for the final round at the Hardscrabble to place 87
th with a 54-hole score of 59-over 269. Southeastern takes a break for a couple of weeks before heading to the final tournament of the season, as they head to Monkey Island, Okla., on April 7 and 8 to compete in the Spring Central Regional Preview.
