Carter Olson and
Wesley Mitchell each had a two-homer game as Southeastern piled up 20 runs and 23 hits over a Saturday sweep of Oklahoma Baptist, taking game one 10-9 before closing out the series 10-6 in Shawnee, Okla.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 12-21 overall on the year and 10-11 in Great American Conference play.

Carter Olson homered twice and drove in six runs in the opener, finishing the contest 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Storm offense.

Brady Evans added a 3-for-6 effort at the plate and drove in a run.

Wesley Mitchell,
Chase Keeton,
Payton Poole, and
Ryan Kirk each picked up a hit, while Evans, Mitchell, Poole, and Kirk each drove in a run.

Colton Clawson got the start and tossed four innings but took a no decision after allowing six runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Michael White followed with 1.2 innings and allowed a run on two hits.

Rayn Farquharson was next and retired the only batter he faced.

Brayden Phelps tossed the next inning and struck out two, earning the win in the process.

Carson Abbott checked in but did not record and out before handing the ball to
Parker Pecina who struck out one in an inning of work.

Austin Hillebrandt started the ninth inning but was tagged for two runs on a hit in one-third of an inning before
Tristan Mills came on to record the save in two-thirds of an inning.

OBU took the early lead with a two-run homer and an RBI double to take a 3-0 lead after one inning.

Poole opened the second inning with a leadoff homer and Evans closed the gap to 3-2 with an RBI double later in the inning.

The Bison added to their lead in the bottom of the second with a two-run double, pushing the edge to 5-2.

A leadoff homer in the bottom of the third stretched the OBU lead to 6-2 after three.

SE struck back in the top of the fifth, with Olson doubling home
Coby Grimsley and Keeton before coming home to score later in the inning on a Kirk RBI walk, closing the deficit to 6-5 midway through five innings.

OBU tacked on an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth, but it was not enough as Olson led off the seventh with a solo homer, and in the eighth Mitchell drove in a run to tie the game before Olson homered for a second time in as many innings to score three runs, taking a 10-7 lead.

The Bison swiped two runs back in the bottom of the ninth, but Mills would get the Storm out of trouble and preserve the 10-9 win.

In the series finale, Olson and Showalter each went 3-for-4 in the game to lead the way, while Mitchell and
Austin Thorp each adding two hits.

Evans, Poole, and Kirk added a hit apiece.

Luke Johnson each followed with a scoreless inning before handing to Phelps who collected his second win in relief of the day as he tossed a scoreless inning.

Abbott came on and tossed the final two innings without allowing a run or a hit.

In the nightcap, OBU jumped out to a 5-0 lead with runs in each of the first two innings.

SE struck back in the third with Showalter doubling home Autin Thorp before Mitchell drove in Showalter on an RBI fielder's choice.

The Bison answered with a run in the bottom of the third to leave the Storm trailing 6-2 after three innings.

Poole connected on a two-run homer in the top of the fourth, trimming the deficit to 6-4, and Mitchell added a solo shot in the fifth to close the gap to 6-5 midway through the fifth.

Southeastern would take the lead in the contest on a three-run homer from Evans, with Mitchell connecting on a solo homer to go back-to-back before Olson tacked on an RBI double to push the lead to 10-6 which would hold up as the final.
