FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Southeastern women's golf program is eight at the end of day one at the 2025 GAC Tournament with a score of 45-over 325.

No. 25 Henderson State leads the GAC Tournament at the end of day one with a score of 20-over 300, while Southwestern Oklahoma State and Arkansas Tech are tied in second at 29-over 309. Just behind, Harding is fourth after a 30-over 310 round one, and Arkansas-Monticello (+35) fills out the top five.

Carley Button leads the lineup after one round of play with a 6-over 76 after seeing a 1-over par front nine with two birdies. Not far behind,
Karen Kim and
Lucy Handley are separated by one stroke, with Kim sitting 11-over 81 and Handley at 12-over 82.

Hailey Richard completed the first day of competition at the conference tournament with a score of 16-over 86. Rounding out the SE five-bag,
Hope Walthall turned in a 23-over 93 in the opening round.
