SE Closes Out Regular Season with SNU Thursday and SWOSU Saturday

DURANT, Okla. – The Southeastern men's basketball program closes out the 2025-26 season with a home game on Thursday against Southern Nazarene on senior night and on the road Saturday at Southwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Tip-off between the Savage Storm and Crimson Storm on Thursday is slated for 7:30 p.m., while SE and SWOSU take the court on Saturday at 3 p.m.
 
SERIES NOTES
  • Southeastern eyes to end a four-game skid against the Crimson Storm, who are 18-14 against the blue and gold since joining the GAC. The two sides are tied at 14-14 in conference games during the regular season, while SNU holds a 4-0 edge at the conference tournament.
  • SE and SWOSU meet for the 61st time on Saturday after the Bulldogs won in the first contest this season. The Storm leads the all-time series 31-29, but has lost three in a row to their in-state rivals. SE will look to get its first win in Weatherford since the 2022-23 season, when it beat the Bulldogs on the road 97-89.
 
STORM REPOT
Southeastern went 2-1 last week, picking up back-to-back wins over Northwestern Oklahoma State and Arkansas Tech before falling in a tightly contested battle to Harding, 70-65. The pair of wins for the blue and gold push them to 7-13 in the GAC and 8-18 overall heading into the final two games of the year. The Storm are in a three-way tie for seventh with Southern Arkansas and Henderson State and sit one-game behind Northwestern and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Deondre Dunn recorded 41 points across SE's three games last week and tallied eight triples on a 42.1 percent clip. The Watonga, Okla. native also put in a strong defensive shift during the week, registering a season-high three blocks against Harding and four steals versus Arkansas Tech. Dunn is tied for the second-most blocks this season with nine and is fourth on the team in steals (11). Additionally, Dunn is averaging 8.7 points per game on 42.1 percent shooting from the field and has knocked down 44 triples.  
 
Continuing to pace the scoring for the Storm, Chandler Dickinson leads the team with 13.8 points per game after posting 21 against NWOSU and 18 versus HU. Dickinson is converting 46.7 percent from the floor with a team-high 134 field goals and is seeing the most minutes on the floor for the blue and gold with 34.2 per game. In addition to his scoring duties, the Rockwall, Texas native also plays quarterback for the SE offense, with 61 assists dished out this season.
 
Southeastern enters the week ranked 10th in scoring offense and field-goal percentage, averaging 69.7 points per game on 43.4 percent shooting. SE remains one of the top three-point shooting teams in the league with 8.8 triples per game – the second-most in the GAC – and is converting at a 33.3 percent clip, led by Ethan Scott with 48 treys and Dunn with 44. At the glass, the Storm averages 32.3 rebounds per game and has pulled down the fifth most offensive boards with 270.
 
SCOUTING SOUTHERN NAZARENE
Southern Nazarene has already locked its spot to the GAC Tournament and recently claimed the fourth seed. The Crimson Storm went 2-0 last week with a ranked win over then-No. 20 Ouachita Baptist, 73-60, and followed with a 74-56 victory against Henderson State. SNU enters the final week of play looking to make it back-to-back 20-win seasons, as they sit 19-7 overall and 13-7 in conference play.
 
SNU is led by two double-double machines in Baron Bracey and Tracy Godfrey Jr., who have combined for 14 this season. Bracey leads the GAC with nine and is the Crimson Storm's top scorer and rebounder with 14.3 points per game and 8.3 rebounds. Godfrey is SNU's most efficient shooter with 10.9 points per game on 59.0 percent shooting from the field, which ranks sixth in the GAC. Additionally, Godfrey paces the league with 89 offensive rebounds, while averaging 6.2 boards per game.
 
SCOUTING SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
Like the Storm, Southwestern Oklahoma State is battling it out for a spot in the conference tournament. The Bulldogs are tied at 8-12 in the standings and 11-15 overall after a 1-2 week in their most recent outings. Before playing hosts to the Storm on Saturday, SWOSU will make the trek to Ada to take on East Central.  
 
The Bulldogs have two players scoring in double-figures, led by Ty Frierson with 13.5 points per game. Kayden Carter is chipping in 10.7 points on 55.1 percent shooting from the field, while Kray Rogers paces the side with 49 triples for 9.0 points per contest. Rogers is also the Bulldogs' top rebounder with 5.2 boards per game and has pulled down 124 defensive rebounds. SWOSU averages 70.2 points per game as a team and is converting 43.6 percent from the field and 33.7 percent from beyond the arc.
