EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern closed out its trip to the Edmond First Pitch Classic, Okla., with an 18-1 loss to No. 16 Pittsburg State on Sunday afternoon at Wendell Simmons Field in Edmond, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 2-3 overall heading into Great American Conference play with the league opener coming up on Feb. 13 versus Ouachita Baptist at 2 p.m. at Mike Metheny Field.

The SE offense saw
Isaac Villa,
Ryan Kirk, and
Carter Olson each collect hits with Olson driving in the team's lone run.

On the hill,
Daniel Collins got the start but was tagged for seven runs on four hits in one-third of an inning to suffer the loss.

Marcus Mott came on and tossed 1.2 innings and allowed seven runs, sux of them earned, on six hits.

Colton Clawson followed with two innings and allowed a run on four hits before handing to Caron Abbott who was touched up for three runs on two hits.

Juan Berrios finished the game with a scoreless inning.

The game got away early as PSU put up nine runs in the bottom of the first inning and tacked on six more in the third.

Olson put the Storm on the board with an RBI single in the fourth, plating Villa, but that was the end of the Storm offense as the Gorillas added three more runs in the sixth to fashion the 18-1 final score.
