SHAWNEE, Okla. – For the third-time this season Southeastern put up 20 runs on its way to a 20-6 midweek win over Oklahoma Baptist in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening in Shawnee, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 22-16 overall on the season heading into a three-game conference home series versus Arkansas-Monticello April 10-11 at Mike Metheny Field.

Carter Olson,
Austin Parker, and
Alex Showalter each collected three hits to lead the offense.
Â
Isaac Villa,
Easton Ford, and
Tyler Payton added two hits each, while
Jacob Ambriz and
Jax Heid had one each.
Â
Parker, Ford, Ambriz, and Showalter each homered, while Showalter and Payton each doubled.
Â
Parker led the way with five RBI, with Ambriz turning in four. Ford and Showalter finished with three RBI each, while Olson plated two and Gage Dolins drove in one.

Brayden Tambone got the star and tossed three innings, allowing five runs on eight hits in a no decision.

Marcus Mott followed with two innings of work to pick up the win in relief, allowing a run on two hits.

Brayden Phelps tossed a scoreless inning, striking out one.

Ryan Rauss tossed the final inning, allowing a hit and striking out one.

SE got the scoring started early with Parker driving in Villa for the first run of the game in the top of the first.

That was followed a batter later by an RBI single from Ford and a three-run homer from Ambriz to take a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

OBU picked up a run in the bottom of the first, but Parker added another RBI single followed by a two-run homer from Ford to stretch the lead to 8-21 in the second.

In the top of the third,
Tyler Payton scored on a passed ball and the Storm added a run on an Olson RBI and three more on a Parker homer to push the advantage to 13-1 midway through the third.

The Bison answered in the bottom half with four runs, closing the gap to 13-5.

After a scoreless fourth, OBU picked up a run in the fifth to narrow the SE lead to 13-6.

Showalter opened the sixth inning with a leadoff homer.

Four batters later Dollins drew a bases-loaded walk, followed by an Olson RBI single.

Ambriz followed in the inning with an RBI walk, with Showalter driving in two more with a double down the left-field line, pushing the lead to 20-6 midway through the sixth and that would hold up as the final score.
