Devin Carillo joined the Southeastern coaching staff as a graduate assistant working with the team's linebackers and safeties beginning in the Spring of 2021.
He makes the move to the Savage Storm after five seasons working with Division III La Verne in California.
His time at ULV started as a volunteer assistant in 2015, where he worked directly with Defensive Coordinator/DB Coach Oscar Rodriguez.
In 2016, Carillo was hired on and returned to ULV as an assistant position coach working with the Secondary.
During 2018, his worked switched slightly to handling the nickel backs for the nickel package under new Defensive Coordinator, James Stewarts’ 4-2-5 scheme.
Then in 2019, he expanded to work with the cornerbacks, a group that snagged 12 interceptions, had a pair of All-Conference honorees, including the league leader in interceptions with 8, and a cornerback that was the SCIAC defensive player of the week for 3 consecutive weeks.
Carillo started his coaching career in 2014 at Eagle Rock High School in Southern California, as the Wide Receiver and Defensive backs Coach.
His playing career started collegiately at Cerritos College as a cornerback and he would finish his degree at La Verne as a defensive back.
