Jarvis Brooks joined the Southeastern football program in the spring of 2023 and works with the team's wide receivers.
Brooks comes to Southeastern after a stop as the defensive backs and special teams coach for Langston which was on the heels of a stint as running backs coach at Sul Ross State.
In his first season, he would see Marquis Gray earn First Team All-GAC honors while Hunter Hawthorne was an honorable mention selection.
Hawthorne and Gray were both top-10 in the conference in receiving yards per game, while Gray ranked top 10 in both touchdowns and receiving yards per play.
He transitioned to the sidelines after starting his collegiate career as a quarterback at Texas Lutheran before transferring to Sam Houston State where he played tight end and was a part of a national championship team.
Brooks earned his bachelor's in communication studies from Sam Houston State in 2021.Â
