Jason Hayes joined the Southeastern coaching staff prior to the 2012 season as a graduate assistant and will work with the Savage Storm defensive backs.

He comes to SE after working at Western Michigan from 2009 through 2011 as a student assistant helping with quarterbacks and wide receivers over his time there.

Prior to his stop at WMU he served as assistant coach and head eighth-grade coach at Allegan High School in Allegan, Mich., from 2007 through 2009.

Hayes graduated from Western Michigan with a degree in physical education in 2011 and is currently working towards a master’s degree.

He resides in Durant, Okla., and is engaged to Charlee Dickinson.
