Marvin Gray joined the Southeastern coaching staff before the 2017 season and will direct the team’s defensive backs.
In his first season working with the defensive back, SE posted 15 interceptions and 37 pass breakups, while Jarrett Ingram went on to earn all-conference honors out of the secondary.
Gray joins the Savage Storm after wrapping up a four-year playing career at Stephen F. Austin.
He tallied 93 tackles over his career along with 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one touchdown.
While at SFA Gray was voted team captain and would win the Mart Crawford Award, given to the Lumberjack athlete who intends to join the coaching profession and best exhibits the traits of pride, loyalty, and dedication to the Lumberjack program.
Received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin and will be working towards a master’s degree at Southeastern.
