Skylar Watson joined the Southeastern coaching staff in Spring 2014.

Watson, a native of Amarillo, Texas, attended Oklahoma Panhandle State 2008 to 2012 where he played as a defensive back and earned his Bachelor’s in Health Physical Education.

He coached the linebackers at OPSU for a season before moving on to Cisco College where he coached the linebackers for the 2012 to 2013 seasons.

During his time at Cisco, Watson had three linebackers with All-Conference Honors.

Watson played his High School ball at San Antonio O’Connor and Amarillo High School.

He earned his undergraduate degree in health and physical education at Oklahoma Panhandle State in 2012 and added a master’s in sports studies and athletic administration from Southeastern in 2015.

Watson and his wife Jannie live in Durant.
