Taylor Goar joined the Southeastern coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2019 season and became the program's first full time assistant coach prior to the 2022 season.
In her first season the team would finish 3-25 with a 2-14 mark in Great American Conference play where they finished 10th ihn her inaugural outing. That team featured Caitlin Cosby who earned All-GAC recognition and would go on set Southeastern's all-time leader in digs and ranked second in the conference all-time.
In her second season she helped the program navigate the landscape of the Covid-19 Pandemic which would cancel the fall season and the team would come back int he spring, their typical offseason, and put together a 10-game regular season and a conference tournament, finishing the year 2-9 with Aleksandra Rodic, Grace Shehadeh, Ruthie Forson, and Skylor Lewis each taking home honorable mention All-GAC honors.
The Storm would qualify for the GAC tournament in her third year, led by a pair of All-GAC honorees in Ruthie Forson and Grace Shehadeh.
She steps into a coaching role immediately following a stellar playing career at Winona State, playing for current SE head coach and then WSU assistant Nicole Solum.
Goar finished her career with the Warriors ranked fifth all-time in kills (1,253), 11th all-time in digs (1,306), and 12th in service aces (112).
She was a two-time first team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference selection in 2015 and 2016 and earned second team honors in 2018. She also added a 2016 All-Central Region Tournament team honor and was a four-time NSIC All-Academic selection.
Goar completed a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice in Law Enforcement and is earned a Masters in Sport Administration as well as a Masters Certificate in Addictions Counseling.
